Reliable capture of free-floating objects is a prerequisite for on-orbit servicing. Without it, operations such as inspection, repair, life extension or relocation of satellites cannot be carried out safely.

From approach and capture to tool changing and stacked ORU installation, EROSS SC successfully demonstrated the full flow of an on-orbit servicing mission during a dedicated demo campaign at German Aerospace Center (DLR) in December.
